This introductory course is structured to give the officer information and practical hands on training in knife defense. As knife attacks against officers become more commonplace, it is essential that effective techniques be demonstrated to those officers that face this threat.

Course content includes:

• Mind set
• Theory of knife attacks
• Psychological and physical concepts of knife attackers
• Tactical usage of circular and linear movements with the knife
• Reacting to the threat correctly
• Knife carry and opening techniques
• Blade manipulation
• Aftermath

The course content is reviewed in depth. We hope to help the officer understand the principles of the knife, and how to react correctly in all situations if attacked by a threat with a knife. This, in turn, will save lives.
