Level II & III (Module 2)

This is course is a dynamic and pro-active approach to the pistol for specialized personnel who need to push their handgun skills beyond basic and intermediate requirements. This course will begin by reviewing fundamental skills; it will progress to a highly advanced level whereby tactical movement, assessment and hostile target engagement are made in a quick and decisive fashion for the individual.

Content includes:

• Non-competitive, relaxed low-pressure format to encourage student experimentation and facilitate learning of new techniques
• Decisive engagement of anatomically correct targets, with disciplined and effective shot placement
• Situational ready positions
• Enhancement of "Natural Body Speed" to facilitate fast and accurate hits (speed shooting techniques)
• Proper close combat focus
• Distraction drills (hostile and non-hostile settings)
• Engagement of concentrated and dispersed multiple targets
• Strong and support hand techniques
• Pistol re-function techniques
• Radial turns and holster draws
• Shooting from conventional and unconventional positions
