The P.P.C.T (Pressure Point Control Tactics) Defensive Tactics System is the first subject control system developed through tactical, legal and medical research. Tactically, it addresses the most common types of resistance officers encounter. Legally, the P.P.C.T system teaches a simple but comprehensive use of force continuum that clarifies the appropriate force level for every level of resistance. Medical research was conducted on every P.P.C.T technique to refine technique efficiency by educating officers on such principles as pain compliance and motor responses under both normal and accelerated applications.

Course content inludes:

• Principles of controlling resistance behavior
• Stimulus response training
• Handcuffing
• Joint locks
• Pressure point control tactics
• Countermeasures
• Impact weapons

Each technique and the procedures for applying is thoroughly examined. Upon successful completion, the student will have the basic understanding of defensive tactics.

Each student will receive a pair of handcuffs in this course.
