The tactical shotgun is broken down into three levels. The programs are designed exclusively around law enforcement teams traditional support weapon. The shotgun is acknowledged for its versatility and respected for its reliability and effectiveness. The student will be taught the importance of the weapon in defensive protection and law enforcement, and when to integrate it into training and field use.

Levels I & II (Module 1)

Content to include:

• Methods to load, download, unload, sustain fire, perform a tactical reload
• Clear stoppages under stress
• Administrative and tactical handling procedures with the shotgun
• Ballistics
• Ammunition and weapon selection
• Carry methods
• Shooting positions

Level III (Module 2)

Content to include:

• Cover and movement
• Weapon transition
• Low light shooting
• Shooting while moving. Pivot and turn techniques. Combat orientation is stressed through shooting techniques that include multiple target drills, tactical shooting positions, close combat shooting, and proper use of cover and movement
